Understanding Scripture There have been a lot of ideas flooding around Deviant Art in the question of how to accuratly determine the meaning of scripture and what actually constitutes sin. From the Christian vantage point the most effective way to discern sin is to examine the rules and laws of the bible. Now, the bible is a compilation of the words of Jesus and his followers(called the New Testament) along with a collection of books written by the Jewish people Jesus and his followers were apart of (Old Testament). Both sets of books are equally important, but only when the purpose behind the book or a passage is recognized can either sets oUnderstanding Scripture

Value: The Never Ending SearchEvery person, whether they know it or not, is seeking value. It’s a frightening but irrefutable truth about the human condition. All people look for something to give them purpose, for something to give them worth. We are a variable in a mathematical equation, and we very much want something to be at the other side of the equal sign. For if we are not valuable, then what is the point of our existence? Survival?
